Jinn Jujube Orange Orchard

After breakfast, we were going to visit the "Jinn Jujube Orange Orchard", since we weren't able to during the previous trip. This time, we were determined to go because the season of sweet, juicy oranges will soon come to an end. The Jinn Jujube Orange Orchard is located in the Mon Cham area and it took us about an hour to get there. I know I kept on repeating how good of a choice we made to choose the red cab over renting a car, but I really have to emphasize its advantages because apart from it being convenient, we did not feel nauseous at all! Usually, we would feel dizzy if we ride uncomfortable cars or go in unfamiliar routes with bad roads. However, it was a more comfortable ride than we all had expected, perhaps because of the natural breeze and the excellent driving skills of the driver. In the previous visit, we had gone to Mon Cham by a minivan and the ride was quite nauseating we had to prepare ourselves mini plastic bags in case anyone of us wants to vomit. The view and the scenery were enjoyable, and as we let ourselves groove along the breeze of the wind, we soon reached the orchard. The road up to the orange orchard was a bit scary, but the driver was very skilled so we were okay. There were several orange orchards along the way, some with flower gardens too, but we liked this one the most. The atmosphere was charming and enchanting. The Jinn Jujube Orange Orchard charged an entrance fee of 70 THB for adults, and inside, you could pick oranges for 80 THB per kilogram!

Pick your own fresh oranges

My mother loved the Jinn Jujube Orange Orchard a lot because she enjoys eating oranges, so I think I made the right decision to bring her there. Others might come here to take photos, but my mother was determined to pick and eat the oranges without even caring about the beautiful scenery. The oranges were juicy and delicious, and the orange juice they had here was refreshing. We took some oranges with us for the journey down to Mon Cham, and it was such a delightful experience, I'd say.

Usually, many reviews would recommend visiting the Jinn Jujube Orange Orchard in December. During that time, there will be a plenty of oranges. Unfortunately, we didn't visit in December, but even so, it left us a great impression. If you're in Chiang Mai, I recommend trying the Jinn Jujube Orange Orchard, so you can enjoy juicy oranges to your heart's content!

We spent quite some time at the orange orchard and then went straight to the "Banyakat café", which had a pleasant atmosphere just like the café's name. Their matcha tea was very delicious. If you're in Mon Cham, I recommend stopping by for cute photos here.

Fak Kaew Mae Rim

After visiting the cafe, we had lunch at a riverside restaurant called "Fak Kaew Mae Rim". My brother had recommended this place, saying it was easy to spot once we find our way down. The food was tasty, and the atmosphere was very nice too. We enjoyed the cool breeze, the river, and the variety of food choices was good, especially the green papaya salad. However, the grilled fish with lime sauce was a bit disappointing for us. Overall, it was reasonable in terms of taste, atmosphere, and price.

Another cafe

Initially, we planned to stop by another cafe, but the elderlies (lol) were exhausted, so we returned to the accommodation instead. In the evening, we went to the walking street on "Wua Lai" road. It's only open on Saturdays. If you have been to Chiang Mai, you might have heard a lot about this place. This time, we went again after so many years. We walked around, bought some delicious snacks to eat, and enjoyed ourselves. We didn't eat much, just a few snacks, and we were already quite satisfied. My parents weren't very hungry anymore, so we focused on enjoying the atmosphere and have our minds set free from stress and all the anxiety pre-holidays. Overall, the market was the same as before, but I feel like I was able to enjoy myself a little bit more this time. We also passed by the "Sri Suphan Temple" on the way, where there was a silver Ubosot or the so-called "ordination hall" created with traditional Lanna style architecture. It looked incredibly beautiful in the daytime. Sadly, we didn't see it at night, but this visit was already impressive.
